COMPUTER SKILLS FOR THE WORKPLACE
The ICTC Computer Skills for the Workplace course focuses on using fundamental Microsoft applications and operating software on the computer. This is a practical course with an emphasis on utilizing and navigating popular applications and the internet.
Who should do this course?
Whether you're looking for a new job or looking to improve your position at your current company, computer skills are essential to your success. In our first lesson, we'll examine how companies set up and use technology solutions. Then we'll take a close look at some of the components of those solutions. Just understanding how technology fits into the overall flow of work at your company will advance your position relative to your peers.
This course will cover:
Email and Scheduling
Creating and formatting documents
creating and editing presentations
Using the internet
transferring and protecting data
Safety and Security
30 Contact Hours - 10 Sessions
This is a non-accredited Short Learning Program
Learners should be age 16 or over and must have a basic understanding of Maths, English, and ICT.
Open entry. Previous schooling and academic achievements are not required for entry into this course.
Students must have access to a computer and internet
Desktop computer or Laptop
Operating System Windows 10
High-Speed Internet (Hotspots are not recommended)
Webcam and Microphone (built-in or external)
All other Software will be provided by ICTC
ASSESSMENT AND AWARD
Students are required to complete a series of challenges (assignments)
Upon completion of this course, students will be awarded an ICTC Certificate of Completion
